Ubuntu ♥’s the Nikon Coolpix S6

Nikon’s Coolpix S6 camera sure seems to have a lot going for it; WIFI, HUGE screen, nice colour and image quality and a really nice size. The only real strike against is shutter lag which means that there is a noticeable delay between pushing the button and capturing the image. This can be a real drag for capturing “the moment” in sports related situations. That said, it is still a great camera and I am still actively considering buying one.

The big question I wanted answered before I reach for my wallet is; does it work with Ubuntu?

The answer:

Ubuntu Importing Photos from Coolpix S6

It seems to think the model is an S2 but everything works perfectly. Ubuntu detects it automatically and imports without a hitch.
